DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
No headwind ... but also no commute. Just a wee trip to the posh side of Kirklees. Yes, there is one.

Commute tomorrow instead.

I too felt brassed off today so thought i would take it easy on the way home but as i rode on i felt strong so changed my mind and gave it some beans up a short strava section on which i'm in eleventh place, even though i was riding 'the tank' i knew i had gone a lot quicker than before, this continued all the way home with all traffic signals in my favour, this cheered me up no end as i knew i had beaten a couple of personal bests, could'nt get my phone out quick enough to see exactly how i had done....still don't know as i had forgot to press start at begining of ride:cry:

Pleasant 20 miles home via Styal. Might just go that way on the way in, if up early enough. ;)

Well I did my scenic route home via St Bees, and up the 18% hill out of the village. The weather was absolutely stunning: -

Sounds terrible that, i wouldn't bother^_^
Oh my Christ! 45.something Kms. The beach was sandy and tough, The hill climb was alot steeper then it was last time (damn changing topography) and the descent was punctuated with fallen trees. The river bit..well...it was muddy, prickly, nettles. According to mapmyride I burned 1588 calories.

T'was feckin awesome.

Extended route in, took it nice and steady (19.4 miles in 1.02). Some traffic snarl ups that slowed me right down near home, but once I'd got about 3 miles under the legs all was pretty clear until the last mile from work. Quite a few rodies out towards Wilmslow/Styal. Amazing how fewer clip ins and outs I have on the 19.4 mile route, compared to the 7.5 mile route !

Long route each way all week I think, with this weather.
