Yet another cool and miserable grey day here in The Lakes.

Very little rain though and now at 6.30pm the sun is making a very late attempt to get out.

Off to Snowdonia next week and hopefully the alleged 'heatwave' will be in full flow.

Well, I can honestly say that this morning was the first time I can say it was a bit chilly at 7.30am when I left for work.
No where near cold enough for anything other then ss shirt though as soon warmed up.

Rode to work this morning at 5am with a long sleeve base layer a short sleeved jersey and a gilet. As I set off I was thinking I may need another layer. After 10 minutes I was thinking of taking one off.

Lovely day in Denmark.

Reminds me of getting airlifted out of Zaire. Took off from Brazzaville in 40C - landed in Brussels in -5C.
Ha ha - that trumps my depressing experience of leaving the sunny Costa Blanca at 26C and landing in a very murky Manchester 2.5 hours later with snow still on the ground and air temperatures barely above freezing.

On a similar note

Death Valley, CA in the morning in a blistering 44°. In the afternoon, atop the Yosemite Pass and it was struggling to get into double figures.

Mind you - much above 30C and I would be suffering. I would choose 0C over 40+C any day!

I don't really mind cold temperatures as long as there are blue skies and there is no ice to worry about.
