I was thinking last night about my club ride about how cycling brings people together. I rode with a very varied group of people last night. People who were just starting out, superfit people, people near retirement age and most a lot older than me. I liked how it was very easy to chat to people twice my age because we had cycling in common. Few things can bring people together like that. I had a better time than if I was going out with other people in their 20s. Cycling clubs are very good at teaching you to get on well with people of all ages and walks of life.
