Is there any chance you got married around the 20th July? Or where you born born around 20th July?
No. Born and married in September (not in the same year obviously!!). Must have been the July holidays in N. Ireland.

At least you're not a 31 year old grandmother. I've met one!
I knew of a 28 year old grandmother; the mother of a 14 year of girl in foster care (across the road from where we lived) who had a beautiful baby girl. I always remember her because at the time I was the same age and with a newly born sister.
But at the same time I have a good friend who gave birth to her first child (first pregnancy) 2 weeks before her 48th (could have been 49th) birthday. Goes without saying that it was an unplanned pregnancy! Her daughter (I won't name) is now 13 yrs old.

My youngest will not be 18 till i am 62 ,i plan to retire and charge rent !
that was what my mother did, only she moved out and in with her boyfriend (now husband of nearly 5 years) and rented the property to my sister & younger brother. She later sold the property to my sister, who now charges my younger brother rent...

Last Saturday I was sitting next to a pal from my university days who is a notorious whinger. I'd not seen him for a couple of years and I patiently listened to his list of ailments and gripes and behaved as if his life force was leaking away. He looked shellshocked when I listed last Friday/Saturday's activities: Drinking beer, attending two gigs separated by a 70 mile FNRttC and getting up to mischief with the second band,

Feeling old is a state of mind.

What greater massage to one's ego can one have when a thirty five year old female PhD mathematician sends one an invitation to go train spotting in York to see the gathering of six A4 pacifics or when colleagues twenty five years your junior have you at the top of their list of folk to go to gigs with or when the pupils that you teach moan and tell you to grow up?

Middle age is a long way off in front of me and the gap ain't closing.
