I saw a chap in a CycleChat jersey this morning, was it you FFFF?

About 8.35am, you had just come down the hill on the old Norwich Road. I was going the other way in a fluorescent jersey.

Just short of 14.5 miles each way so not to bad. Much better than sitting in a cage on that poxy A14.

Were you taking the long route in this morning ?

yeah, took the back roads from pinewood out to Gt Blakenham, then back across town to ransomes and then back into town. about 22 miles in all i think.
but then on the way home I take the direct route which is just short of 3 miles!
it's a nice route in the morning, wakes me up nicely before a boring day at work.

Yeah know what you mean. If I get up early enough I head out Coddenham way and can do the same sort of distance and it certainly sets you up for the day. Always makes me laugh seeing the 9 o clockers arriving in the cars in an almost zombied state

No I go Kirton / Bucklesham / St Augustines roundabout / Bixley road / Colchester road / Henley Road / Defoe Road / Old Norwich road.

Tend to give Felixstowe road a miss as it gets very open Nacton way and not much fun.

I'll have to put a route through bikeroutetoaster or bikely & head on out for my ice cream... not today though, got some gardening to do.

Just went to get my ice cream... got back a few minutes ago.

they were all bloody closed!!! what's going on there?

I took that little singletrack route from trimley to levington... that's a fun road... get to scare the car drivers quite a lot on there!

Went down about 11 and the seafront was heaving due to an art exhibition near the pier and the kids had no problems finding an open ice cream hut.

That single track is certainly interesting and a bit hairy when you play "bottle" with the buses.

hmm, maybe not many people want ice cream at half 9, i am a bit weird.

got a bit lost on the way there as I wasn't paying attention. nearly ended up on the A14!!

THe missus reckons I should get a GPS... handy!
