Can we settle on 70:30 and get back to the hats and cigars, leaving the other thread for the rights and wrongs of it. After all I don't think there are any records of him wanting to stick a toll booth barrier up someone's jacksie.

Only because he banned them. Ok I'm happy with just 70.

What a sad comment. Has there never been anyone whom you admired, or who inspired you, and whose passing you were sorry to hear about ?
'

And not necessarily inspired or were sorry about but someone that had a huge impact on the world as is the case here.

Remember this guy took us to the brink of nuclear Armageddon.

No, he didn't....

(This point having been done to death elsewhere).

If you think you're going to shut somebody up by saying what's he's said is wrong and its been 'done to death' I'm sorry to annoy you but I will have my say. You sound like a bit a Castro yourself.

..he says, stamping his little feet.

Maybe he thinks if he stamps them hard and long enough he'll be proved right.

Really? Khrushchev and Kennedy had quite a lot of power too, and were arguably more implicated.

This really is hardly worth of comment. Yes, they did have quite a lot of power, they were the leaders of the two most powerful countries on earth. I suggest you read a bit more about the crisis.

I quite like the current crop of jokes saying that Castro finally died after seeing the result of the US election and feeling that he was vindicated.
