Congratulations to Halton Borough Council for speed of response.

I reported two potholes to Fill That Hole on Tuesday evening that got reported to the borough on Wednesday morning. Cycling home on Friday afternoon they'd been filled.

Can anyone do better?

I've seen the same, once... all others tend to get ignored, with a few others poorly sorted.

Probably luck, keep reporting them anyway to make them liable for anything that does come about.

Question is though - is it a shoddy refilling like 99% of them are?

Not that quick - filled in about 10 days from reporting, although not a 'good' repair - a case of chuck some tarmac in it and pat it down, but I won't smash a rim now !

Worked in Manchester for me too!

Reported on the 19th, fixed on the 23rd - not bad....and they'd fixed a few grids immediately after it too.

I reported one before Christmas in North London which caused damage to my rear rim.

Last week it still wasn't fixed and was even worse than before. Had it re-reported through the site and within a couple of days it was fixed.

Make sure you describe the holes in as much detail as possible.
I also like to throw in a words like "dangerous" and "can cause damage" which may help to get peoples attention and get them fixed quicker, but I only do that if I think a pothole truly is that bad.

My problem is trying to remember to report them by the time I get home. Which reminds me I must go and report one in Chiswick.

The one I'm thinking of was reported as 'hazardous to cyclists and motorcyclists' as I had been thrown off my bike by it the day before.
You're probably right that it's worth re-reporting though.
