So my windproof came out this morning for its first commute of the winter (it went on a fnrttc to Southend too), can't wait for it to drop another couple of degrees and all the stupid muppets who work in my building but don't seem to be able to lock a bike up without bashing every other bike in the rack will start to get the train in. Seriously these people are paid to run the country and are as stupid as they come.

If it was 0c and dry all winter it would be bliss...

I did say *If*

And it's easy to keep warm... bit harder to keep cool in the heat and dry in the wet.

Maybe 0c is excessive, possibility of ice - I will raise my ideal to around the 1c mark

+1 so long as it did stay nice and dry. What could be better than a clear, crisp morning on a dry road.......

I found the current weather in the mornings is just perfect, about 8 Celsius, no/little wind and sunny, once the sun has appeared. Not too cold and not too warm, arrive at work nice and fresh, relatively speaking.

I'll se your 1 degC and raise you to 3.5 degC minimum, with no wind and dry as a bone:becool:

9c this morning, not cold enough to abandon shorts (except my mistake this morning).

Sunrise was nice, as it was just coming over some hills near me, I kept going up and down for a while

We are talking winter, I would prefer a nice cool summer - but I am taking the cold as a trade off against it being wet.

1c after wind child is considered - there, sorted ;)

Ah, you witheld details!!! No-one mentioned wind chill until just now
I thought there wasn't any wind.

I prefer the cold to the hot. It's easy to add a layer in the winter but there's only so many you can take off in summer without getting arrested. :becool:

I saw the first frost of the year at about 3.00am on the way home from work a day or two ago. It was on the grass rather than the road, and the gritters had been out!!
