And it literally take 2 minutes
I've been looking for work for 4 months now after being laid off, after over 2 years of asking a job came up at our local garden centre...my dream job(keen gardener). The owner informed me a couple of weeks ago a vacancy was coming up and hey presto i started on wednesday, absolutely delighted. The only downfall is i was hoping for a job a bit further away purely for the cycling commute. But hey ho a small price to pay for working 2 mins from home,at least when the snow and ice comes it'll take me 6 or 7 mins to walk in to work,my last job was costing me over 200 quid a month in fuel just to get there and back.

I like Skol

Congrats, only very lucky people get to do jobs they also enjoy (I have always considered myself lucky in that way). Don't knock the small commute, it free's up more time for going out riding ^_^

When I am in one of my hippy moods I always reckon everyone should work within walking distance of their homes. Those that drive mega miles daily to get to work are killing the planet and themselves (there's a few that work with my wife that drive 50-80 miles everyday of the week to get to the office!!!)

There's no reason why you can't extend the commute into a longer commute.

Congrats on the job.

At the mo i'm a bit too knackered to extend the commute,we've got new owners and the place is having a major facelift so loads of hard work but yep at least i get decent lay ins and longer on the bike in the evenings, especially in the summer months
Plus not forgetting decent discounts........perfect
