I ended up ordering the kili and it should be arriving early this week. . Perfect timing as I'm on holiday until next Tuesday. I will follow your advice though and just ride one at a time! I had a great run from balloch to tarbet in the sunshine yesterday. 34 glorious miles with a wee break for a snack on my own wee beach on the lochside. My idea of heaven

I rode a Saracen full sus 'AWOL' for years and it has recently been replaced with a hardtail Specialized 29er, which I love!
I'm too old now for the riding I used to do when young, but I am enjoying what I can do now
I also bought a Dawes hybrid about 5 months after the MTB

Lovely part of the world you live in - once I get a tow bar for a bike rack on my little car, I am definitely heading over that way for a loch ride!

It really was perfect. I'm very lucky in that the start of the cycle path is just 3 miles from my house. We live at the top of an exceptionally steep hill but I have the option of putting my bike in my husband's van and driving to the start if I can't bear the thought of cycling back up. We also have hilly fields and farm roads just across from the house so I'll be heading there once I get my mountain bike
