Find identification 2

Hey again all
I realised I didn't know what the other bicycle I had in my shed was either- so out it comes!
Can someone please identify it for me? Has an Archer 3 gear hub, which does thankfully work.

I took possession of this as the G'ma was going to chuck it because it was taking up shed space!
Should I have let her? I thought it had character
'tis a folder!

If the hub on the rear wheel is a SA, it will have month and year stamp somewhere near the centre.

Afraid there's no date on the SA hub!
Unless AW relates to something?

AW is the type, it should have something like

MADE IN
(date)
ENGLAND
stamped into the case.

It has the above, but no date. I will check one last time but after polishing it initially I saw nothing.

Afraid not. I can confirm that there is no date on the Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub. There is no "Made in" on the casing either, but it is stamped England.

Most odd, every SA 3sp hub I've seen has a date stamp.

All the markings remaining are crisp and the surface impeccable, so it cant be that it's worn off.

The folder that I got this week has no date either
I've seen a fair few with no dates. AW hubs especially

Usually if there is no date they have the word patent or patent applied and are 40hole this dates them to around the Second World War.

If they are 36 hole then they are modern types but can't remember if that would have been 60s or 70s.
