Cutting the fingernails of your dominant hand with your non dominant hand.

Easy for me to do with nail clippers, but not so with small scissors when I can't find my clippers. I can clip my finger nails in 1 minute, but my toe nails can take half an hour! My left foot is quite easy, but my right one is the problem. With having a right hip problem where I can't lift my right leg up high enough, unless I lift it with both hands I can't get to my foot easily. Plus with being blind in my right eye I can't see my right foot too well with my left eye, due to my right leg blocking the view, so I rely on touch/feel and memory to cut my right foot toe nails.🙄

I saw an advert for this the other day.

A potential solution or minced finger meat?

I've a torn nail on the index finger of my dominant hand and I just can't get scissors onto the loose piece. I keep catching it on things and it's painful but I'm just going to have to put up with it until it falls off itself or grows enough to get the scissors in.

The tiny scissors on my Swiss army knife works well for both hands. It is spring loaded. It works for toenails too but I have to get in the right position to manoevre. It has a handy file too. Fortunately my eyes are still OK with specs but I'm not very flexible and my legs are prone to cramp. The joys of longevity! But I'm fortunate compared to many. Chiropody services are available to the elderly if you qualify but as far as fingernails are concerned, the options are limited.
