Hi,
Can't believe I was pipped to the 1000 miles milestone by just 2 days!... http://www.cyclechat...rst-1000-miles/
Started commuting in March (6 miles), on my old cheapo mountain bike. Being overweight and unfit it was a real struggle. Tried it for the first time on a Saturday, and it took me over an hour and I stopped 3 times.
After about 15 commutes, I bought a new bike, and today my cycle computer ticked over the 1000 miles mark.
I'm keen to keep cycling, and am looking forward to the challenges of Winter (I see it as mainly a clothing issue). Whilst I haven't actually lost any weight, my legs are much stronger and I feel fitter, so changes are happening - and my commute now only takes around 30mins.
Like Baz, I'd just like to thank all those on here for their advice and input.
