Well this a new one.
I was invited to join my ex in-laws for Christmas dinner today but I've just called them to cancel it. I've had this bug now since Wednesday and I just can't seem to shift it. For the sake of having a nice Christmas dinner and spreading my disgusting germs to some elderly ex family members ,I've thought its best not to be selfish.
So today it's just me and the stray cat at home in front of the t.v. lol ,enjoying all the repeats. I really can't wait to feel a little better again and get out and about into the real world again on my bike. Christmas was once a magical time but this year the only thing that reminds me its Christmas ,is that what's on tv.
I've not bothered with any decorations either as it feels somewhat pointless in a big empty house. Don't get me wrong though I'm not sitting here feeling sorry for myself ,but deep down I can't wait for it all to pass and just get on with life again such as cycling and back to work. These things have strangely enough, become more and more of an important part of my life after being a single guy once again after 25 years.Work is now not just classed as a means to earn money, but also a means of having friends and social interaction. The same also goes for cycling. It's a great release to enjoy seeing new things, and striking up new friend ships whilst out and about. Whether it be social rides or chatting randomly to other cyclists out on the road or cycle cafe stops. There's also sites like this though, where you can comfortably talk like this, knowing you won't be trolled.
Right , time for another cup of tea and flick through the t.v. channels to see if there's anything decent to watch.
Have yourselves a good day all :-) :-) :-) :-)
