First commute of the year sans legwarmers!

Summer kit for me today!

(Knowing the way the weather's been up here recently though, I suspect the winter gear will be back on again soon)

Shorts, SS jersey and fingerless mitts, Needed the arm warmers this morning but will ditch them for the ride home.

Shorts under my skirt but with bare legs, no tights this morning! A little chilly around the pins, but nothing major, really nice to feel the wind on my lower legs and my skirt blowing around the top half of my legs.

Didn't have the bike yesterday, was off work, but walked around fine with no jacket on, lovely to feel the sun on my arms. Looking forward to it being warm enough to do this on the bike, refreshing even for a short commute.

Unfortunately the weather forecast has it getting colder towards the end of the week ....

Unfortunately I've been caught out by the unseasonably warmer weather realising I have no decent warm weather cycling kit.
Previous years I have just used normal trousers and t-shirts but after spending the winter in proper cycling clothes I realise trousers/t-shirts are no longer up to the job, OK for a couple of miles but no good for my longer commutes, destroyed lots of trousers last summer, so time to invest in some new stuff, when pay day arrives.
