My shiney new, £13.00 ebay camera that is.

Observations, upon quickly flicking through my first ever footage at work:

(1) I need to stop puffing and panting so much

(2) I need to stop swearing so much

I really think this camera thing is going to make me a better cyclist

This thread is useless without video...:tongue:

I had to deal with those two points too

1. Breathing happens, im getting used to it now
2. Yes, It does force you to notice swearing doesnt it . However, being polite doesnt always have the desired effect!

Edit: IS it the MD80 by any chance?

Sadly, posting video on t'interweb is beyond my technical abilities at the moment....

I need to learn how to edit the files (they're .avi format I believe) as I don't want to youtube all 54 minutes of my wheezing in to work before the battery died.
Any recommendations (must be numpty friendly, oh, and free )

Because I am looking at one of those cameras too and would love to see the video quality when used in the same way as my intended use

1. fair enough, but it sounds like I'm about to suffer a heart attack, constantly

2. The swearing wasn't even designed to be heard by the driver, just a grumbled expletive as a couple of cars passed too closely

This is going to be fun

If you have windows XP installed you should already have Microsoft Movie Maker in your startup menu (or you have to install a new component).

Be aware though, when you do post videos, people will see and comment on things that you hadn't thought of. Your video might be about some horrendous driving, but it will be your cycling that will be scrutinised the most. Just part of the fun!

Soon as I can, I'll get some up.
First impressinos are that it's pretty good. I set off in low light, and quality was Ok.
Some of the journey was into the low, glaring sun and, again, quality was surprisingly good.
I think you'd need daylight to clearly capture reg numbers etc but I haven't had chance to have a good look through which reminds me, I really must get on with some work now....

Sent my camera back on Saturday as I was having "issues" with various parts of it. They received in on Monday, looked at it, sorted me out and send it back... and I got it back on Tuesday. Yay!!

Back with video and sound again!!! Now all I need is to practise my choreography with those blessed drivers so I can get some good action for people to view... well, that's all we video people do, apparently.
