Hi All,

I've just done my first commute to work today - have to admit, its only taken me 10 mins longer than it usually does in the car at peak hours.

Chose a sat so that I could have a test run for next week when I'm going to attempt to bike in twice probably Weds / Fri, Not bad for a first commute http://www.strava.com/activities/124800101

Good going! Takes me exactly the same time to do my 5 mile commute

I did the same and tested while I was off before it took a total of 30 minutes house-tram-work my test took 12 minutes at a leisurely pace down the toe path . Its only a short commute ,but I loved how peaceful it was and I plan to increase as distance as time goes on.

Great work. Enjoy the commute next week. Are you fair weather? The end of the week looks to be getting a bit of the wet stuff...

For now  i'm going to be a fair weather rider, bikes brand new and i'm unfit so yeah heh ^_^

Great !
My 10 mile commute takes 15 minutes longer on a bike but i go 1 mile out of my way to avoid a dangerous roundabout and its mostly open country lanes with no lights .

Theres a route which takes the back roads I can go, but its 3 miles longer and a lot more hillier
