Only been commuting since the start of December and today was my first really wet morning. What with the farmers dragging mud out of their fields too I was soaked through by the time I got to work - it was lovely putting the wet kit back on at the end of the day.xx(

The bike is now in a right state - thinks adds mudguards to the wish list...

Full guards are great, if you haven't got the clearance then some clip on ones like Raceblades, or the Crud roadracer ones will keep the worst of it off.
Dirty bike? So what, leave it a week or so then give it a good weekend clean, it won't fall apart.
Though I doubt Ian will agree

no I agree about the weekend clean.. it's what I normally do (though it does get a quick wipe down at work)

I rode home in it early this morning and it was a bit moist, but it's the first time I've used the Crosser in really wet weather and the difference with the full mudguards, compared to the crud catchers on my MTB was amazing.

If you don't have anywhere to dry your kit while you're at work, consider carrying a spare base layer top with you, then at least you've got something dry against your skin.... until you get sweated up that is.
