Yeah, maybe, but my skates don't have any brakes. They're legal on the road. :biggrin:

That fixed is illegal, brakes are a legal requirement in this country, I run two brakes on my fixed.

Yep, certainly is, must cost a fortune in tyres ....

Only run front brake on mine, have done since I started riding fixed. Never skid, never have any problems stopping, mostly control the speed by legs alone, front brake will be used at very low speed to actually stop.

Skidding in the wet isn't going to help much, is it ?

Back brake on mine doesn't get a lot of use but when its slippery its very useful, I wouldn't want to rely on a front brake in the snow and ice.
