On the basis that nowadays many houses have gas-fired central heating, surely a cannister of Campinggaz would be more appropriate?

Don't be so tlght take the stove as well and fry some sausages.Beat a lump of coal.

As far I as I know first footing is still done here, but you don't need to be dark, or indeed a stranger, as long as you bring a bottle of (preferably) whisky.
