First full week of commuting

Shameful though it is to admit it, last week was the first time this year, that I'd ridden in and out every day for a week. I nearly managed it in March/April, but had a day each week when I needed the car. Then the rain in June reduced the cycling massively. Then there was six weeks of roadworks on the A5.

All in all, a pretty bad year.

Roadworks stopped you cycling? That's when I'm in my element on the bike. For smugness alone.

The A5 was being resurfaced and the scraped surface and raised ironworks hardly make for good riding. The contractors were operating a convoy system and I think I'd have felt safer in convoy PQ17.
