I leave the chickens to clear the dead plants, they rake it onto the lawn & I just pick it up!

Grass doesn't grow below ten degrees, it's been above that for a month in Norwich. Mowed three lawns, planted 30 acidanthera, spread some leaf mould on the rhubarb patch, emptied the semi-rotted compost into the mature compost heap, and seriously considered the offer in the Torygraph of a biodegradable flag of the union that you plant petunias thru. The flag biodegrades and the flowers bloom and form the flag for Jubilee and Olympic year.

I think we have now cut ours three times. I like gardening so spent a few hours tidying up outside today (I'd rather tidy the garden than indoors), and managed to fill our green bin!

I cut ours earlier in the week, I like pottering round the garden so I spent an afternoon weeding and having a general tidy up.

I dug my lawn over a few weeks ago, to turn it in to a wild-flower meadow. As opposed to the usual moss and clover.
However, it's become the local lavatory for every cat on the street:cursing:

Ours had its second cut of the year today and I took advantage of using the hosepipe to wash our windows and the conservatory before the ban comes in next week.
