Did my first cut a fortnight ago but a load of rubbish has got piled up infront of the shed door and I can't get the mower out at the moment.
Dayvo are those grass boxes on the front of the cylinders on the greens mower?
Grass doesn't grow below ten degrees, it's been above that for a month in Norwich. Mowed three lawns, planted 30 acidanthera, spread some leaf mould on the rhubarb patch, emptied the semi-rotted compost into the mature compost heap, and seriously considered the offer in the Torygraph of a biodegradable flag of the union that you plant petunias thru. The flag biodegrades and the flowers bloom and form the flag for Jubilee and Olympic year.
I think we have now cut ours three times. I like gardening so spent a few hours tidying up outside today (I'd rather tidy the garden than indoors), and managed to fill our green bin!
I dug my lawn over a few weeks ago, to turn it in to a wild-flower meadow. As opposed to the usual moss and clover.
However, it's become the local lavatory for every cat on the street
Ours had its second cut of the year today and I took advantage of using the hosepipe to wash our windows and the conservatory before the ban comes in next week.
