First Long Ride

Done my first long (in my opinion) ride today total trip was 44miles went from Downham Market to Ely and back again, most of the route goes alongside the river so even though the wind was blowing a bit the great scenery made up for it.

Now looking forward to planning my next ride, Cambridge, Newmarket and Hunstanton on the list, might even have a go at a few sportives, Norwich 50 maybe? But one step at a time I think as my legs ache a bit and getting up and down stairs hurts a bit!

Well done to you... now go get that 50 under your belt.. then the plan should be a 100 miler..

I think I'll probably always think of 44 miles as a long ride. Well done!

Well done. I just managed to get up to 40 (aim was working up to 50 miler indeed) before my bike broke down. . Ah now the training shall start a-new

I did my longest ride today. 30 miles in the BHF's 'Over the Edge Bike Ride. Doesn't sound much but it was a lot to me especially with a 'hurricane' force wind blowing against me. My next target is 40 miles, but I'll be waiting for the wind to drop first!!
