Done. 33 miles from Preston to Warrington including getting lost and ending up in Leigh for a bit.

Going to sleep at my desk for the rest of the day so I'm ready for the return leg.

Funnily enough, that's what most people at work have said.

Took 1hr 45 so pretty chuffed with that.

It is indeed a beautiful day for some cycling. We move on Friday so my next loooong commute will be a gentle 24 miles (excluding detours)

whereabouts in warrington do you work? i live not far from the business parks in birchwood. i could not imagine a 33 mile commute each way!

Woolston. It should only be 28.5 miles going home - the excursion through Leigh added a couple of miles.

Ah, so you took the a57 up to about irlam then followed holcroft lane? or did you go through birchwood and follow croft through to leigh way? love to see the route as i'm looking on how to get up that way
