Had my first near miss on the way back from dropping my daughter off at nursery.

I've had falls on bikes through my own faults, but this is the first time I've been close to an impact with a vehicle. Minding my own business in a cycle lane, had to pull out as a bus was stopped and out of nowhere, a car pulled out from a side street on the right. He was close enough that his wing mirror was close enough to touch.

Cue the obligatory shouting and hand gestures. Still, no fall, no injury and no damage.

I'm hoping it was my confidence that kept me upright!

More likely anger and survival ^_^

Good job you're ok. Do you reckon the car pulled out thinking it was OK because the bus had stopped, and was 'blocking' traffic behind it?

Not sure tbh, I was towards the front of the bus when he pulled out, like I said, no damage done, but a little acknowledgement would've been nice
