But seriously, this proves helmets CAN help in some situations and I always wear one, wherever I am going.

I agree. While I accept helmets are useless against trucks, it's scuffed - my face isn't....

Most accidents happen in the home.

Seriously, bad luck and heal quickly. Your body will tell you when it's stopped feeling sore and stiff, listen to it. Hydrocolloid dressings (ask your pharmacist) are good for road rash, if you can cope with them looking a bit yucky when the pus starts to ooze out.
