you are so right. You are so right. I asked for a Scalextric set for years and years and years and years. And my daughters finally got me one when I turned 50. There is no way that little Ade is going to endure such deprivation! Thankyou, VC!
I got a set as a leaving present from a job!

have a good distillery lay down some whiskey in his name, break it out at age 18 and make sure there's plenty for things like his 21's and the birth of his first child etc.

What Melonfish said.

You will definitely be his favourite Granddad.

I've been bought all manner of gifts, practical and not for a variety of children over the years.
But the one that sticks in the mind most is when my brother arrived at the hospital after the birth of child no4 to present her with a 7inch solid rubber dolphin from ELC.
My advice? Be original.

That's better, a baby cycling cap, better than cradle cap

Scalextric. He'll grow into it, and in the meantime grandad can 'run it in' for him.
This one for £500

It goes without saying that you'd be required to set either up, to make sure that it worked properly & that he knew how to use it. With you instructing/giving personal tuition.
