Just had my first spinning class - ouch! Kept up, just, for the first 15-20mins and then started flagging. I was still turning the ol' peddles at the end of the 50mins and tried to keep up and join in where I could but it was very tough going.

I actually found a 100mi ride easier than 50 minutes spinning!

I've already signed up for next weeks class

Well done!

It's addictive especially as you see your fitness levels lift really quickly.

I went out shopping on my shopping bike last evening.
It has a Sturmey rear AW3 with gear lengths of 32, 42 and 56 inches.

My legs were up at 80 - 85 rpm for most of the 50 km ride. Not what I'm used to.

In a sudden flash of recollection I remembered a cycling term for such an occasion. "Twiddling".

So, you went to "Twiddling class".
