Nearly finished my first SS conversion, Just tyres, Chain and a few adjustments and it's ready to ride. Tyres should be here tomorrow if CRC do their stuff.

Almost there, just a few tweaks and it's ready for the mean streets.

The canti brakes don't seem to work very well, will sort that out.

No major disasters, not bad for my first try.

Total cost £150

Anyhow, been out for a few rides. Seems to ride nicely, been down a few trails, got dog poo on the tyres.

Ordered some new Jagwire brake blocks as the cheap ones on are very soft and have already started to fall apart.

Been up the steepest hill on the estate without any major issues, a 42/20T would have been easier than my 44/17T. It's good on the flat and zips along.

Bumping up and down kerbs is a doddle and it laughs in the face of potholes.
