First time buyer. No idea.

Hello,

I have been using a basic mountain bike for some time and just looking to step up a bit.

I am looking for a basic road bike just to get a taste for it (so nothing too expensive) and was just wondering if this bike was any good to start and for the price. I don't know much so not sure.

I am not a big cycler just now. 12 miles to work and back but looking to use more and more.

Looks Ok.
If it's in decent mechanical condition and doesn't need too much work that looks fine - assuming you want a flat bar bike rather than drops (which would be my choice).

I'd have that in a heartbeat. If you don't get on with it, you can resell it for more than you paid for it. Looks a bargain. It'll be a much easier ride - a lot more fun too - than a basic MTB

Yeh I bought it today. Thanks for everyone's help! Went out for a quick ride tonight. Is like having a sail on my back compared to the mountain bike!
