Ridgeback did some very nice Genesis models about 10 years ago. A friend still has a Genesis Day One which is alu frame carbon fork flatbar road bike. It is incredibly light, very hardwaring and has Dura Ace components, they were nice bits of kit for the time.

And of course, depending on the markets, brands can mean different things.

EG you wouldn't find this at halfords for under £150, despite it being an "Apollo"
