First Time Buyer

I want to get into cycling to get into shape and live a better life. I’ve never cycled much before. I have no idea where to begin. Seeking advice on what to buy that isn’t going to bankrupt me. I noticed a lot of bikes in the thousands. Was hoping maybe a couple hundred lol. Any advice and links are welcomed.

What currency? Country?

A couple of hundred, your best bet is second hand.

What sort of bike do you want? Where will you be riding?

If in the UK, something like a Carrera Subway would do for pretty much all terrain except gnarly off road. Not the lightest, but solid.

How tall are you? That will give you an idea on the size to look for
