...from the puncture fairy.
Wow she picks her moments. Was on my way to a BMF class and realised bike wasn't cornering well. Pulled over and there is a whopping big staple sticking out of my front tyre. Made the mistake of pulling it out, pancake flat tyre 2 seconds later!
On a normal day I'd have fixed it there and then, but will never make my class if I do this so figure I'm not that far away so will push it the rest of the way and fix it after the class. Now that is knackering, half run, half walking a mile or two a carrera subway with a flat tyre and fully loaded panniers! Just make it in time to my class.
During said class a huge squall comes through including hailstones, lots of! Doing sit ups in hailstones is fun! What this does mean is by the end of the class my fingers are numb and in no state whatsoever for changing a tube/fixing puncture.
So I gave up and got my husband to come and collect me.
Shouldn't complain too much really as I have been commuting for a year now and that was my first puncture, hopefully won't have another one for a while now.
