Back to the OP, Did you skid while braking there? As thats what I thought I heard on the video.

If so, that prooves you're completely justified in putting that video up.

Nah, I didn't skid. The sound's pretty crap on that camera, think it's just wind noise. Luckily I spotted what the driver was up to as she came alongside, you can see in the video I shake my head - that's the point where I realise that despite definitely having seen me, she's still going to do it. So I just slowed down as much as I needed to. Didn't fancy stopping completely, what with two panniers full of stuff and a headwind...
