Looking forward to a fun community.

I enjoy getting out there whatever the weather and luckily live not far from some "scenic" routes including the Cairn O'Mount, and have the minimum number of bikes:
1) Raleigh Randonneur 531ST, a bit rusty but very trusty
2) Battaglin C12 speedy machine so I can attempt a couple of short TTs this coming year
3) Specialised Stumpjumper Comp so I can fall off a lot to the amusement of hillwalkers

Now that I've rejoined Audax after a lapse of 20 years I might even go round a couple…or worse still invite the AE Massive here for a 100/200 ride.

Thanks everyone - much appreciated.

And Louch, I'd recommend a loop like this: http://www.strava.com/activities/104239499
Basic plan is to head to Stonehaven, ride up the Slug road, descend down the other side, turn left after the wee bridge up the climb to Knockburn Lock then right through Strachan and right to Banchory and hence back to Aberdeen. If you are on Strava, search for Col du Devonick on the way to Stoney along the historic Causey Mounth Road (with standing stone circle) and try to beat my PB (its not hard).

If you want something shorter but still packs in a few climbs http://www.strava.com/activities/99998152 is a nice route. It is mandatory to ride Cairn O'Mount round these parts, so quit yer whining and get up: http://www.strava.com/activities/84082120

If you don't mind riding at 20-24k pace then give me a shout…happy to wheelsuck and call out directions to the nearest cafe...
