Only noticed this thread late last night, so wasn't sure I'd be able to attend. Managed to sneak in a slow amble across the bridge and back as part of my regular Bromley <> Chiswick commute, but will concede I was a little late to the office. Was almost late to the start too, considering I didn't even start getting the bike out of the house until ten to eight.

Good to see a decent turnout. Gaz, Matt, Werner, et al.

Phone footage below. Looks a lot steeper than I remember it ;)

Saw lots of familiar faces and lots of cyclists out. Great to see so many involved and catch up with a few people.

I ended up being very late for work as I spoke to the cycle task force for a very long time!

I'm the guy who almost wobbles into the cameraman at 4:00. I'm not used to cycling at 3mph.

Did you not have slow bike races at school? I won 2 years on the trot until some other kid (who was a good bmxer) came along and took away my crown.

I did spot you, but did not have a chance to say "Hi" as I needed to get away sharpish.

So why does that have to be done with a flash mob?

It garners media attention, flyers were handed out etc. There were also journalists present at the event.

I most certainly do not, at least rarely, I did drink in the Old Swan in Utoxeter, it was 10am on a Sunday morning (football away day) it barely sufficed until the regular proper pubs opened

And I refuse to go anywhere near the West End, magnet for tourists and out of town wannabes and all the terrible things that ride in their train

I have two very good pubs in my sights for tonight, both back roads off the Strand, one has TEN real ales, unusual ones too, the other a miserable four but they apparently do good food

I didn't recognise you - I saw quite a few people with helmet cameras, but you have yours on your stem, right?

I look fat in that

Serves me right for not reading cyclechat frequently enough; I didn't know anything about this - yet it's on my route to work (well, kinda; I usually turn down into Embankment to brazen it out with the Kings Ferry buses (not as polite as the London ones)).

Nice one peeps!
