Hmmm, interesting, didn't know this was on, then again I don't ever watch Five.

I was interested that there are rumours Terry Gilliam is going to make a film of The World Jones Made.

Now, that would be a rather interesting prospect... if he can restrain his obsession with over-elaborate FX.

Have you ever seen "The Life of Stuff"?

Originally a book written by Simon Donald - Good reveiws and I enjoyed it

Simon then directed a stage version that I didn't see. He then wrote the screenplay and directed the film. I was fortunate (or not) enough to get an invite to the opening night. If it wasn't for the fact that I was there by invite I would have walked out halfway through it was so bad.

The point this is illustrating is that just because the original auther likes/makes a film/TV version does not mean it will be any good.

I watched it and thought it seemed to be an excellent premise for a series... but the same could be said for Lost, which was great until it went completely up its own ar$e or the writers got drunk and high on paint stripper or something...

I watched most of the first episode of Lost before giving it the heave-ho. I was tempted to watch the last ever episode just to see what it had all been about, but somehow I resisted.

I think that they just don't want to kill the cash cow. Had they ended Lost after the second series and kept all the plot lines reasonable it could've been a cracking series. But these people are making a lot of money so they want to drag it out until the bitter end. They don't really care about the quality or the viewer, they only want to keep enough people watching to pay for their next Ferrari.

Look at 24. Clever idea, first series was pretty good but honestly! My wife liked it so to keep her happy I watched up to about series four or five but I couldn't stand any more. Happy Meal TV! :0(

And I even bought her the 24 movie! Which, if you haven't seen it, is a low budget crappy made-for-TV movie that they charged more than a Hollywood blockbuster for! Wonder how many Ferraris Kieffer Sutherland had got?

Anybody still watching Flashforward? Last night's episode wasn't that good until the last scene where we properly met a dark Dominic Monaghan.

I did, but I'm hoping that it won't be like that each week - i.e. a "new charcater" appears and tells everyone about his/her FlashForward and how it's affecting their life now... and then somethings happen which either create some sort of Paradox (his description of the future allowing them to save his life so he actually *has* a future) or provide a nice new angle to investigate for the Mosaic board.

I'm still watching it. My wife likes these things so I watch them to keep her happy. It's pretty boring though. Not too impressed with some of the casting either. Interested to see how convincing a baddie the little ugly guy from Lost will be.

I'm still watching,bit slow but I don't mind that gives you chance to get real background on the characters,bit like Lost in that respect.
Trueblood is my fave at the mo though,
