Hey, I have a small ~£250 budget and I am looking for bike to spend my free time and get fit. I think I want to cycle at least 10 miles a day.

I know second-hand bike would be the best option, but I live in a small town and the nearest Gumtree/Ebay suggestions are unreachable for me. Here are the options I am looking at now:
Though I prefer the first one because it's lighter, I don't know if it would be suitable for more than just plain road cycling. Would it be suitable for a little rougher/not plain road ? Would I need to change the tires ?

Thanks !

23 mm tyres on the Decathlon are pretty skinny for rough tracks - I rode along a towpath for quite a long way on Saturday on a roadbike on 23mm tyres and I have to say as a coward, it was a little hairy on the gravelly surface with nothing between me and deep water  I would have preferred 28-32mm with some grip  The Subway would be better IMO unless the Triban has clearance for fatter tyres. I've seen plenty of people travelling at decent speeds on roads on the Subway models

Where are you based? For a little over your budget I have a 2011 Whyte Cambridge flatbar bike with 28mm tyres, hydraulic disc brakes for sale (£899 RRP)

I have seen your post and I would definitely consider that bike, but I live in Aberdeenshire area.

What about this one ? If I am right, it has 28mm tyres with slight grip. If not this one, probably I will take the Subway.
