Flatulence - does anything work to reduce it?

Might as well be blunt about this... has anyone found a dietary adjustment that reduces the amount of gas they produce? Aside from cutting out the obvious culprits of course.

I've always been pretty flatulent but it has definitely increased with age. I've tried the often-suggested peppermint tea but it does nothing for me. Fed up of gassy discomfort. Anyone have any (reasonably sensible) suggestions?

Flatulence means your gut is not happy. Check out the research by Tim Spector and Zoe. In particular aim to get a variety of 30 different plant-based foods a week.

Address dietary issues. Spicy food, processed foods, meat, pulses and legumes, booze, caffeine all can be wind inducing, avoiding becoming constipated with lots of water
It is however a natural bodily function.

Presumably you've discussed with your GP.
