No it will never catch on all these stupid headers.Anyway the shower handle broke this morning Mrs P could not turn the shower off.The main part that turns inside was made of plastic. So eighteen years after it was fitted ,it snapped inside.First thing i could not turn the stop tap off, rust ,so sprayed with special WD 40 type stuff.Contacted our favourite plumber,One and a half hours later he arrived, how great is that.He turned the water off outside. Then removed all the shower controls and capped off the ends.No red hot steamy water. Then he turned on the tap outside ran water through the taps, and then went to release our inside stop tap, which after my spraying it turned. So new shower gubbins for next Friday. £85 emergency fee well spent.Luckily we have a bathroom also,so a late shave and bath.i now need a lie down, and a rough estimate of £200 plus labour next week.
