This is a thread which I will keep updated with the ongoings in the floods in my area. Most of you would have heard what has happened so far so I wont bothere repeating it again.

A recent rumor which has been circulating on Facebook is that the bridge in Rhuddlan (https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=rhyl&hl=en&ll=53.290044,-3.4687&spn=0.000962,0.002642&sll=52.8382,-2.327815&sspn=7.967693,21.643066&t=h&hnear=Rhyl, Denbighshire, United Kingdom&z=19&layer=c&cbll=53.290143,-3.468583&panoid=Qd35Ygg3WcSaik06S2xUxQ&cbp=12,221.03,,0,8.77) has collapsed. This is unconfirmed so I will check tomorrow.

Well todays update:

Rhuddlan bridge has not collasped. Whoever came up with that idea must have been smoking something.

I went to St Asaph and although the feilds are still flooded, all the roads are clear. There was lots of muck on the roads but they had the sweepers out cleaning them.
Went over the river Elwy and it was still very high at places.

Can this become a regular feature on CC? I'd love to keep up-to-date with the daily, no, hourly goings-on in western England.

I heard that down your way there's this cat that plays tennis. Do you have any knowledge of this?

If the lack of information about Welsh flooding bothers you how about some Shropshire flooding.

No offence if you live there but Shropshire's just a dull meaningless stretch of nothingness.

Good job you didn't mean any offence coz otherwise that would be fairly offensive. Compared to where by the way?

It wasn't in comparison to anywhere and I was speaking from an I'll-informed point of view as one who's hardly been there although I did have dinner in Shrewsbury one night on the way from North Wales back to civilisation.

Ah, a bit of random abuse.

No problem, as long as you don't mind me returning the favour at some indeterminate point in the future.;)

Don't tell me you didn't go over the Rhuddlan bridge when you were there.

Do those things not come equipped with handbrakes then?
To even things up, I've only been through Shropshire really, but it seemed rather pretty...

Currently showing the tops of bollards, the river being a couple of feet higher than the level of the bank at that point. On Wednesday, it was up to the base of the disc of that no entry sign. It's the second time it's been up that high in two months, and I expect it to be that high again before the end of winter personally.
