Flowers, flowers, flowers!

I've been spamming the Creative Photography thread with not terribly creative photos of flowers (unlike @Way-Out-West's magnificent efforts), so I thought I'd start the Cycle Chat Flower Show here, not least as it's an absolutely magnificent year here in France, and I can't stop snapping. I was pleased to see my first lizard orchid of the year this morning.

A couple of close-up wild orchids from today: a butterfly orchid and a fly orchid... especially glad to get the latter, as it's the first time I've seen one.

Almost exactly a year ago, bee orchid from Tuscany

Bee orchid from today pulling a goony face at me... "Hey you, waaaah!!"

We're getting towards the end of the orchid season, with just the lizard orchids still coming into flower.
