August for the flying ants usually around my way,tho ive seen a lot when lifting slabs last week..its the bloody thrift corn flies atm...they make my skin crawl...

The only ones I've seen over the last couple of days have been too immature to fly. Far too small. It's the right kind of weather but the wrong stage of development down my way.

IIRC you have to consume some 1000 ant to consume a gram of protein (or was that fruit flies)

Any way as a diet supplement thay are a bit of an anticlimax
