Listening to @mmmmartin's initial thoughts, I think they'll be good ones. Both for people looking for a cycling holiday in a lovely part of the world with a decent opportunity to kick back and rest and for people looking to train for a stupidly long bike ride across hilly terrain.

Am just back from a short wander around Belgium (on the bike, obvs).

Met Els ( @swarm_catcher ) by (to cut a very long story short) chance.

She's moved out of London and back to Belgium, seems happy enough. Keeps chickens, bees (no change there, then), a few cats and a really lovely little dog.

Hasn't changed a bit, looks exactly the same as from all those years back.

Still has lots of bikes.

We chatted about our fond memories of The Fridays. I was wearing my Fridays cap 😢🍾.

Oh, I forgot to add: the only two times I've had to deal with a broken chain were both near @swarm_catcher .
The first time was on the Brussels to Ostend ride when @StuAff had a broken chain. The second time was on this little tour, on the day I met Els.
So they were both her fault. 😀

Good to know she & the OH are doing well. Plans to meet up with her in Roselaere on the tour last year sadly came to nought.
