Focus Cayo 105

Not the best piccie, proper camera at work, taken on phone.

I've been fiddling with the saddle, and looks quite nose down here, but was comfy to ride for 12 miles today, I think I may move it back up a little as I didn't realise how nose down it was until taking the piccie.

Enjoying the bike a lot, can't say I know how to take piccies of bikes though!

Have just tweaked the saddle a bit, used spirit level but with the curvy up bit at the back it's difficult to know what is truly horizontal, looks ok now so will try that on way back from work tomorrow via my nasty hilly route into the peaks.

The saddle looked fine in the pic. Nothing wrong if it faces down a little, helps stop crushing the ol' danglers.

Back on the hybrid for gentle pub ride today, then I am going to try to get the Focus up a hill I've never managed all the way on Saturday. Enjoying it a lot,

Tried the beast of a hill today and made it. It's got two 20% ish bits in it and goes on for long enough! No need for a triple if I can get up that thing! HR peaked at 180 which is 3 more than any other ride, was hardly moving while standing, but got up the thing.

Another 28 miles done, and very lovely they were, other hills I used to worry about are now dispatched as if not there, also hit 42 mph on the way back which was fun!

Targets now before York and Manchester 100's are 50 miles next week, then at some point cycle to parents in Wigan which is about 80 miles. Add 10 miles to distance each week and I should be over there within the month, perfect timing for the York 100 I am entered in.
