Been offered a Focus Cayo 4.0 about a Year old, Shram Rival, its the disk brake model what's your thoughts please people ?

I cant make my mind up, 2nd hand Cayo with Rival or new Btwin 720AF with Ultegra ?

Hi Vickster, disk brakes aren't an issue, it's just the new Vs 2nd hand, how much better is the Gocus Cayo 4.0 than a Btwin ?

There are also deals to be had on new bikes from older model ranges which can be worth looking at. How much is the Cayo?

Doesn't sound cheap when you look at Planet X for example

Rival is good, 105 equivalent

Is it this one with hydraulics? Looks good, lovely colour, not black!!

I love how the Focus is described as entry level, albeit the 'best' entry level. Clearly 'entry' is something that can still happen at eighteen hundred quid. I see that Btwin have a suite of entry level of bikes, that's where I would start given the budget. Btwin Ftw!... in my unsolicited opinion
