Hi, anyone got one of these ? Just looking for some feedback on them as am looking to upgrade.
My LBS has them for £1399 but that would include a fitting. Have seen them online for under £1200 but would rather get it locally if possible.
Spec seems good and they look very nice .... obviously then selling point !!

thanks

I have just taken delivery of the 2.0. £1499 delivered. Put it together yesterday and went round the block. Nice; very nice.

Not the same version as you are looking at but I will get back to you after a ride today.

Cycling club chap said they sometimes have problems with friction on cables due to the internal routing. Not heard anything else negative about them.

Did a nice 50 km run with the Cayo Evo 2.0 today. What a blast! Lovely stiff frame, wheels feel great and the group-set is a real revelation compared to my Triban 3 (Sora 2300). The bike is very responsive.

It was my first proper clipless run too so I started off taking it very easy but as the ride progressed I got more and more confident and went faster and faster. The cornering was just superb, not sketchy like the old Triban. The build of the bike is really good.

Okay its not the same model that you are looking at but the quality will be the same I suspect. The group-set probably accounts for most of the different in price.

Go for it!

@G3CWI this could quite possibly be my next bike

Thanks for the replies guys, the price at the above shop is awesome. Only downside is that it is collect in store. Mind you I'm guessing that's because they want to make sure it's the correct fit ?
Anyway I'm waiting for a reply to my email that I've sent them about it.

I can feel my credit card starting to flex !!

I'm positing that the "fitting" would only be a basic sit-on-and-see-if-you-like-it thing, though I may be wrong. But in any case, £1400 vs £1000, it's a no-brainer unless your travel costs would top 400 quid...

Just had a email back from the shop, Focus usually insist on bikes being collected and set up rather than "posted" and then set up by customers. However they have said that if I contact them, they may be able to help.
So a shiny new machine may be heading my way !

Let me know what they suggest, and which shop, as my mate was recently but off a Focus for exactly this reason.

You'd swear that these bikes were built from scratch in the location where they are sold, rather than having travelled the world already to get there.

You reckon that they only sell from the store direct in order that other local stockists have a chance? No good for Focus or Trek if no local stockists though?
