Hi,
Just wondering if anybody has experience/opinions on either of these bikes. I'm looking at the versions with 105 group sets. I realise the Focus is not full 105, but not too much of a concern, just don't read much about the Cayo on these forums.

It'll be used for short rides up to a couple of hours, replacing a Specialized Sirrus. I've done a short test ride on the Focus and thought it was great but it was my first time on a road bike for 20 years! On the Cube next week hopefully.

Cheers,
Dave

Tough one that @TwickersDave & normally, as I am a Cube fan I would go for that, however...

I saw the Cayo Evo recently while out looking at Cubes in LeisureLakes Cycles & really liked it.

I am led to believe it's a belter.

Rode a Giant TCR Composite 2 today. It felt nippy and maneuverable, although I'm not sure I was on the right size. I'm 5"10' and was on a Medium, which I was assured was the right size but did feel a little small. Looks like it is between the Giant and the Focus at the moment.

Giant do a M/L now too, which wasn't a size option when I got my Giant Defy.

At 6ft dead with a 33"leg I find the M/L best for me & the Large just too big (it's all to do with compact geometry).

At 5ft 10 you might be o.k on a Med but a M/L might also fit better. Give one a try, Giants are great bikes but as it's the Comp version it has Giants lowest grade carbon & is a fair bit heavier than the Cube & Focus.
