My Mum gave my son a pasty yesterday but he left it in the car overnight, and all day today. Would you eat it? Obviously if it was heated through properly?
It was quite warm for parts of today (18ish degrees)

Yes, but then what’s your son going to have?

Not even I would eat that. In winter I probably would but not this time of year. Car interior was likely more than 18 degrees for much of today and probably quite a lot more if it ever got direct sun.

It was an expensive pasty (made at a local bakery) and was meat. I too hate wasting food, but I am unsure if smelling it is a good enough test. It may well smell ok but still unsafe to eat. I think I had better throw it away (it's still in the fridge), and lie to my mum and say he ate it and it was delicious.
