Coronation chicken?

🤢 I appreciate this combination is a very personal aversion of mine, same as those dreadful curries with fruit in them!

I suspect fresh celery and Marmite is a combo not found in a Subway sandwich, but it is in my house.

No reason why this wouldn’t work, sweetened buns should work really well assuming filling is properly savoury, which mince and cheddar will be. Dread to think how much sugar is in the standard MaccieD bun.

BUT…hot cross buns? Meat and raisins? I’m out!

TBF, mincemeat originally used actual beef mince so meat and dried fruit is a combo that dates back centuries. Not one for me personally though.

I keep seeing Burgers; inside a Hot Cross Bun touted / advertised constantly.

I myself have not been out to eat anywhere I’ve seen one for sale. So being Easter and with all ingredients readily available…….this dinner-time I’ve made my own !

OMG - it was sooooo good. But how ? Surely this shouldn’t work. It’s my new best food honestly. If this turns out to be a life enhancing Super-Food: I’m going to live forever 🤣

It's that thing of sweet, salt, sugar and fat which most people enjoy. There are a few burger places I have been to that use a krispy Kreme plain doughnut in place of a burger bun.

I can just about tolerate brioche for a bun, anything sweeter is a firm no from me 😂

I'm the same.
Actually, the only time I like dried fruit is when combined with not salted nuts.
I don't even like Panettone because of the sultanas!
